Visit to the Shanghai office of CMA CGM Group

Deputy Director of Science of Design Bureau IMT LLC visited the Shanghai office of CMA CGM Shipping (CMA CGM Shipping Co. Ltd. Shanghai Branch, China). During the meeting the innovative development of the design bureau – CNG container for transportation of compressed natural gas – was presented.
With the help of this technology it is possible to transport natural gas in container ships, the overall dimensions of which will correspond to standard sea containers. In addition, the meeting focused on the use of CNG containers as fuel tanks for CMA CGM’s newest container ships, whose main engines can be powered by natural gas.
