Ship type and general description

Architectural and structural type of the vessel – steel, single-hulled, welded, twin-screw (2 full-turn propeller-helm columns with adjustable pitch propeller (APP) in the nozzle), with a forecastle and poop, accommodation superstructure and wheelhouse in the aft part of the vessel, with five cargo tanks and two settling tanks, double bottom and double sides, with engine-boiler room located aft, with developed ballast system, with COCP on the 1st superstructure deck. The vessel is equipped with one medium-speed engine running on fuel with viscosity 380cSt, transmitting rotation through a transmission device to both propeller-helm columns. In case of failure of the main engine, an electric water jet propulsion system is installed in the bow of the vessel as a reserve propulsion system, which can provide the vessel with a speed of 3.5-4 knots. It is used in the same way as the thruster. If it is necessary to increase the declared speed of the vessel, the water jet propulsion system can work together with the main engine.

Purpose of the ship
  • transportation of 3 grades of oil products with specific gravity of 0.85…0.97 t/m3, with flash point above 60оС;
    supply of ships and offshore drilling rigs with fuel, water, lubricating oil;
  • preparation of fuel mixtures with specified characteristics and their transfer to ships, drilling rigs and other consumers;
  • reception of oily water from ships and drilling rigs on the shelf of the seas with its subsequent treatment;
  • reception of watered oil products collected during emergency spill response from oil waste collectors;
  • reception of cargo tank washing products from ships;
  • application of oil sorbents on oil spill spots on the water surface;
  • installation of booms during cargo reception/transfer and oil spill response on the water surface;
  • collection of oil spill products on the water surface (OSR);
    supply of food products to ships and drilling rigs offshore;
  • fire fighting on its cargo deck, on other vessels, floating drilling rigs and port terminals with water or foam of low multiplicity by means of two water gun barrels installed in the forward part of the 1st superstructure deck, two water-foam barrels placed on a telescopic lift with elevation above the waterline at 18m. A sprinkler system is provided to protect the superstructure in case of fire.
Area and operating conditions

Navigation area limited by R2-RSN – mixed (river-sea) navigation in swell with wave height of 3 per cent probability 6.0 m, with distance from the place of refuge in open seas not more than 50 miles and with permissible distance between places of refuge not more than 100 miles. Operating conditions according to Ice3 ice class – regular navigation in shallow broken thin ice of non-Arctic seas up to 0.7 m thick.

Rules and regulatory documents
