Design 753 (Dry cargo vessel with a deadweight of 4000 tons)

The architectural and structural type of the vessel – steel, single-hull, welded, single-screw with an adjustable pitch propeller (shaft in the deadwood tube), with one steering gear behind the propeller (rudder blade with flap, connected to the steering machine through the rudder pintle), with the engine room located aft, with a poop deck and forecastle, living superstructure made of steel, and a pilothouse made of aluminum-magnesium alloy located in the aft part of the ship (the pilothouse is connected to the steel navigation deck through strip and sheet material of the Triclad type), with a transom stern and bulbous bow, with two cargo holds, double bottom, and double sides (double bottom and double sides are designed for the transportation of heavy cargoes with an allowable load of 15 t/m2), with pontoon-type hatch covers with an allowable load on them of 1.75 t/m2. Each hold has a movable grain bulkhead. The ship is equipped with a CO2 system for extinguishing fires in its own cargo holds. The ship has an advanced ballast system.
